I’m proud to present lots of new material drawing heavily from the beautiful repertoire of Gàidhlig song that I have been steeped in the last few years. Joining me will be Zan McLeod, guitar. Ellen Gira, cello,

Seán Heely is a U.S. National champion in Scottish fiddle and Gàidhlig singing. Irish fiddle legend Liz Carroll calls Heely “one powerhouse of a fiddler!”

In his performances, Heely presents ancient, powerful melodies from Scotland, Ireland, and other Celtic nations such as Galicia and Brittany. Original compositions and modern tunes are fused seamlessly with the historical narrative with which he engages audiences.

Heely was a 2019 Artist-in-Residence at Strathmore and in 2023 became the first Strathmore Artist-in-Residence in the 20-year history to present a sold-out show at the Strathmore Concert Hall. He has recorded three full-length, internationally acclaimed albums—the latest of which, Dramagical, has been featured on BBC Radio nan Gàidheal, RTÉ Raidio na Gaeltachta in Ireland, and NPR’s Thistle and Shamrock.
